It’s a good point: The iterations between problems leading to discoveries begetting more problems. It’s a thrilling epic process, but many prefer to think in terms of certitudes and absolutes. Too often, science is dressed up this way, perhaps in a misguided effort to persuade, or perhaps through honest idealization.
