It sounds magical, doesn’t it. I’m glad you concluded on the limitations. For me, the most salient is the lack of resiliency to change. It seems a tolerable constraint for systems like language processing which change relatively slowly, but an impassable hurdle in dynamic environments like driving.

I worry people are drawn to this pattern without due respect for the limitations. There’s little chance of an enduring solution when the problem isn’t well understood.
